Can I vacuum warm ash with a cordless ash vacuum cleaner?
The 18V Cordless Ash Vacuum Cleaner can safely pick up slightly warm ash thanks to its 1-metre fire-resistant hose. Never vacuum glowing embers or hot ash: let the fire burn out completely first.
Why not use a normal vacuum cleaner for ash?
Fine ash clogs the filter of a normal vacuum and can damage the motor. A hidden ember can also cause a fire in the dust bag. An ash vacuum has a fire-resistant hose and a stainless steel tank designed for this job.
How large is the tank?
The stainless steel tank holds 12 litres, which is enough for several fireplace or barbecue clean-ups before you need to empty it.
Which battery does the ash vacuum use?
It runs on 18V Maxxpack batteries and is available as tool only, or with a 2.0Ah or 4.0Ah battery and charger. The 18V High Performance battery is not suitable for this product.
Can I also use it for household dust or building debris?
It is best to use your ash vacuum only for ash. Household dust, sharp debris or liquids can clog or damage the filter. For dust and DIY debris, a cordless vacuum cleaner such as the 18V Cordless Brushless Vacuum Cleaner is the better choice.
How do I keep the ash vacuum in good condition?
Empty the tank after use and tap out or clean the filter regularly to maintain suction power. Replace the filter if it is damaged or heavily worn.
