What is the difference between an orbital sander and a detail sander?
An orbital sander has a round 125 mm pad and is designed for larger, flat surfaces. A detail sander is smaller and reaches into corners and along edges. For most renovation projects the two work well together.
Can I use my existing Batavia battery?
Yes. The 18V Cordless Orbital Sander 125 mm is part of the Maxxpack 18V platform and works with all Maxxpack 18V batteries, which fit more than 50 Batavia tools.
Is the battery included?
The sander is available as a tool only, as a set with a 2.0Ah battery and charger, or as a set with a 4.0Ah battery and fast charger.
How do I change the sanding discs?
The sanding pad uses a hook-and-loop system. Peel off the used disc and press a new 125 mm disc onto the pad.
Does the orbital sander collect dust?
Yes, a dust collection bag is included. It captures a large part of the sanding dust, keeping your workspace cleaner. We still recommend a dust mask when sanding paint.
Is a cordless orbital sander suitable for beginners?
