Cordless combi drills: drill, drive and hammer drill in one tool

A cordless combi drill is the most versatile drill in your toolbox. It combines three functions: drilling in wood and metal, driving screws with adjustable torque, and hammer drilling in brick, stone and masonry. That makes a combi drill, also known as a hammer drill driver or percussion drill, the ideal choice if one tool has to handle both furniture assembly and mounting items on a brick wall.

  • Renovation work: fixing battens, rails and frames
  • Outdoor jobs such as mounting lights, letterboxes or fence brackets on a wall

Features that matter

  • Brushless motor (18V models): more power, longer runtime per charge and a longer tool life.
  • Torque up to 70 Nm with adjustable torque settings for precise screwing.
  • Hammer function for brick, stone and masonry.
  • Metal chuck that holds bits firmly, plus an LED work light for dark corners.

Why a battery-powered combi drill?

Without a cable you can work anywhere: on a ladder, in the loft, in the shed or outside, with no trip hazard and no hunting for a socket. The 18V combi drills share the Maxxpack battery with 50+ Batavia tools, and the 12V model uses the same Fixxpack battery as the other 12V tools. The 60 Nm and 70 Nm models are also sold as tool only, so you can use the batteries you already have.

For frequent drilling in concrete, an SDS+ hammer drill is more effective. For drilling and screwing without hammer action, see our cordless drill drivers.

Frequently asked questions about cordless combi drills

What is a combi drill?

A combi drill (also called a hammer drill driver) combines three functions: drilling, screwing and hammer drilling. The hammer function lets you drill into brick, stone and masonry, while the adjustable torque makes it suitable for driving screws.

Can a cordless combi drill drill into concrete?

A combi drill can handle brick, stone and masonry, and occasional holes in softer concrete. For regular or larger holes in hard concrete, an SDS+ hammer drill such as the 18V Cordless Brushless Rotary Hammer SDS+ is faster and less tiring.

Which combi drill should I choose?

For light jobs and tight spaces, the 12V Cordless Combi Drill is a compact option. The 18V Cordless Combi Drill 50 Nm is a complete set for general DIY. For heavier renovation work, choose the brushless 60 Nm or the 70 Nm model with 23 torque settings.

What are the benefits of a brushless combi drill?

A brushless motor has no carbon brushes, so it wears less, runs more efficiently and gives you more runtime per battery charge. All our 18V combi drills have a brushless motor.

Are the batteries included?

The 18V Cordless Combi Drill 50 Nm comes with a 2.0Ah battery and charger. The 60 Nm, 70 Nm and 12V models are available as tool only or as a set with battery and charger.
