Cordless polishers for a swirl-free, showroom shine

A cordless polisher makes car care, boat maintenance and detailing faster and easier than polishing by hand. Batavia's 12V Cordless Dual Action Polisher Ø150 mm combines a compact, battery-powered design with a dual action motion that is gentle on paintwork. No cable across the bonnet, no socket needed on the driveway: just fit a pad and start polishing.

What can you use a cordless polisher for?

  • Buffing out light scratches and swirl marks in car paint
  • Restoring faded or dull paintwork
  • Applying and buffing wax or sealant
  • Polishing motorcycles, boats and caravans
  • Bringing shine back to chrome and fibreglass surfaces

Why dual action?

A dual action polisher (also known as a DA polisher or random orbital polisher) rotates and oscillates at the same time. This spreads pressure evenly and prevents heat build-up in one spot, which strongly reduces the risk of burning through clear coat or leaving holograms. That makes it the ideal buffer for beginners, while still being powerful enough for serious detailing.

Features of the 12V Dual Action Polisher

  • Dual action motion for an even, swirl-free finish
  • Up to 5000 rpm for everything from light touch-ups to deeper restoration
  • Ø150 mm working diameter for efficient coverage of panels
  • Adjustable speed and easy pad changes
  • Compact, lightweight design with an ergonomic soft grip that reduces fatigue
  • Fixxpack 12V battery, shared with other Batavia Fixxpack tools

Benefits of a battery-powered polisher

  • Freedom of movement: walk around the car without an extension lead.
  • No cable on the paint: no risk of a lead scratching the surface you just polished.
  • Safer: no trip hazard around the vehicle or on a boat deck.
  • One battery, many tools: the Fixxpack battery also fits other Batavia 12V tools, such as the 12V angle grinders.
  • Flexible buying: tool only, or with a 2.0Ah battery, adapter and USB-C cable, optionally with a fast charger.

Tips for the best result

Wash and dry the car thoroughly first, work in the shade on a cool surface and polish one panel at a time. Start at a low speed to spread the polish, then increase the speed to work it in. Clean or change the pad regularly, and finish with a clean microfibre cloth. Keep the polisher flat on the surface and move it slowly in overlapping passes. For preparing metal parts before polishing, a cordless angle grinder is useful; explore all cordless grinding and polishing tools for more options.

Frequently asked questions about cordless polishers

Is a cordless polisher suitable for beginners?

Yes. The dual action motion of the 12V Cordless Dual Action Polisher spreads pressure and limits heat, so the risk of damaging paint is much lower than with a rotary polisher. Start at a low speed and build up.

Can I remove scratches from my car with a cordless polisher?

Light scratches and swirl marks in the clear coat can be polished out with a suitable polish and pad. Deep scratches that go through the paint need repair before polishing.

How fast is the Batavia cordless polisher?

The 12V Cordless Dual Action Polisher Ø150 mm reaches up to 5000 rpm, with adjustable speed for applying wax, polishing and restoring paintwork.

Which battery does the polisher use?

It runs on the 12V Fixxpack battery. You can buy the tool only if you already own a Fixxpack battery, or a set with a 2.0Ah battery, adapter and USB-C cable, optionally with a fast charger.

Which surfaces can I polish?

Car paint, motorcycles, boats, chrome and fibreglass. Always use a pad and polish suited to the surface.
