Cordless pruning saws for branches, trees and garden waste
Hand saws are hard work when you have a whole row of fruit trees or an overgrown hedge to tackle. A cordless pruning saw does the sawing for you. In this collection you will find battery-powered one-hand chainsaws (often called tree saws or mini chainsaws) and compact 12V reciprocating saws with a branch clamp, all running on a rechargeable Batavia battery.
What is a cordless pruning saw used for?

One-hand chainsaws
The fastest choice for branches from a few centimetres up to 15 cm. The 18V Nexxsaw V3 Ultra has a brushless motor (up to 15 cm), a rotating head (0°–32°) and a manual oil pump. The Nexxsaw 6″ V3 cuts up to 12 cm, the Nexxsaw V2.2 and the Nexxsaw Compact V2 set up to 11 cm. The lightest option is the 12V One-Hand Chainsaw for branches up to 120 mm. All Nexxsaw models can be fitted with an optional extension pole to reach up to around 3 metres.
Reciprocating saws with branch clamp
The 12V Cordless Reciprocating Saw is a versatile all-round saw. Its branch clamping jaw holds the branch steady while you cut, the stroke rate is variable and blades change without tools. What is the difference between a pruning chainsaw and a reciprocating saw?
A one-hand chainsaw cuts branches quickly with a rotating chain and is the best choice for regular tree and shrub pruning. A reciprocating saw uses a back-and-forth blade; it is slower on thick branches but more versatile, as it can also cut wood, plastic, metal and pipes. Our 12V reciprocating saw has a branch clamping jaw for garden work.
How thick a branch can a cordless pruning saw cut?
That depends on the model: the 12V one-hand chainsaw cuts up to 120 mm, the Nexxsaw V2.2 and Compact V2 up to 11 cm, the Nexxsaw 6″ V3 up to 12 cm and the brushless 7″ V3 Ultra up to 15 cm.
Can I prune high branches with these saws?
Yes. The Nexxsaw models are compatible with an optional extension pole, so you can reach branches up to around 3 metres high from the ground without a ladder. The 18V Pruning Power Set includes a 1.25 m pole.
Which battery do the pruning saws use?
The 18V Nexxsaw models run on the 18V Maxxpack platform (50+ tools). The 12V one-hand chainsaw and the 12V reciprocating saw use the 12V Fixxpack battery. The two platforms are not interchangeable, so choose the saw that matches the batteries you already own.
How do I keep my pruning saw in good condition?
Clean the chain or blade after use and remove sap and sawdust. Keep chains sharp and, on Nexxsaw V3 models, top up the chain oil regularly. Replace worn reciprocating saw blades; they change without tools.
